This meta is not good anymore…I think, and I don’t use this tags.

For facebook and twitter meta you can use it like this:

<b:if cond='data:blog.pageType == &quot;item&quot;'>
    <meta expr:content='data:blog.pageName' property='og:title' />
    <meta expr:content='data:blog.canonicalUrl' property='og:url' />
    <meta content='article' property='og:type' />
    <b:if cond='data:blog.metaDescription'>
        <meta expr:content='data:blog.metaDescription' property='og:description'/>
    <b:else/>
        <meta expr:content='&quot;Read more about &quot; + data:blog.pageName + &quot; on &quot; + data:blog.title + &quot;&quot;' property='og:description'/>
    </b:if>
</b:if>
<meta expr:content='data:blog.title' property='og:site_name'/>
<b:if cond='data:blog.url == data:blog.homepageUrl'>
    <meta expr:content='data:blog.title' property='og:title'/>
    <meta content='website' property='og:type'/>
    <b:if cond='data:blog.metaDescription'>
        <meta expr:content='data:blog.metaDescription' property='og:description'/>
    <b:else/>
        <meta expr:content='&quot;Go to &quot; + data:blog.pageTitle + &quot; for read more article.&quot;' property='og:description'/>
    </b:if>
</b:if>
<b:if cond='data:blog.postImageUrl'>
    <meta expr:content='data:blog.postImageUrl' property='og:image' /><b:else/>
    <b:if cond='data:blog.postImageThumbnailUrl'>
        <meta expr:content='data:blog.postThumbnailUrl' property='og:image' /><b:else/>
        <meta content='**YOUR BLOG LOGO**' property='og:image' />
    </b:if>
</b:if>
<meta content='**YOUR PAGE ID**' property='fb:admins' />
<meta content='**YOUR PROFILE ID**' property='fb:profile_id' />
<meta expr:content='data:blog.title' name='twitter:site' />
<meta content='summary_large_image' name='twitter:card' />
<meta content='**YOUR TWITTER USERNAME**' name='twitter:creator' />

Giving a specific answer to this post would be a misguidance because meta tags can not be inserted without having a reason to add it to your blog. I will categorise these tags into 4 types

  1. Meta tags installed by Blogger – No work required on your part
  2. Meta Tags required by Social Media Networks Like Facebook Opengraph Tags, Twitter Cards and Google+ Schema Tags
  3. Meta Tags installed for tracking and verification purposes like for Webmaster tools, Bing and Yahoo
  4. Meta Tags installed for pure SEO purpose like Dynamic Meta Description

I have already shared several posts on this forum on how to install Facebook Open GRaph tags and Schema microdata tags for Google.

I avoid Twitter cards which is of less value to me but you can read about it on mbt.

You don’t need to manually insert any meta tags other than the ones I mentioned above and you will find full details on it on our blog.

Note also that you can dynamically communicate with robots using Custom robots header tags from search preferences which is a modern technique as compared to the old Meta tag technique.
