Welcome To The Blogger Help Forum.

Please take a moment to read through these FAQs and guidelines. There is some useful information about how to use the forums, our guidelines for behaviour and how to set up your account and profile.

Use these guidelines to keep this a clean, well-lighted and resourceful place for Bloggers around the globe.

  1. Don’t spam. We have a zero tolerance policy. Do it once and you’re out.
  2. No signatures. We have a one warning rule for fake signatures. Do it twice and you’re out.
  3. Make quality posts. You’ll get a friendly warning for low quality posts, and if you do it again you’ll be suspended.
  4. No religion or politics. These are not to be discussed ever – they start conflicts only.
  5. No personal insults. This is self explanatory.
  6. No Promotion. No brand or product promotion such as Templates is allowed.
  7. Never Post Links as solution. Always provide manual help and assistance. Don’t refer external sites for help nor share Videos. Users can do that themselves thanks to Google!

Create Single Account Only

We only allow one account per person. If you lose access to your account, there’s no need to create another one. Instead, try resetting your password on the login page, or contact @Mohammad for help.

Improve The Discussion

Help us make this a great place for discussion by always working to improve the discussion in some way, however small. If you are not sure your post adds to the conversation, think over what you want to say and try again later.

The topics discussed here matter to us, and we want you to act as if they matter to you, too. Be respectful of the topics and the people discussing them, even if you disagree with some of what is being said.

One way to improve the discussion is by discovering ones that are already happening. Please spend some time browsing the topics here before replying or starting your own, and you’ll have a better chance of meeting others who share your interests.

Post Quality

In order to try to maintain a certain level of quality in discussions here, we ask that you strive to ensure that each post you make is:

  • Meaningful – says something of substance
  • Relevant – on topic and helpful, not generic advice
  • New – something that hasn’t already been said in the thread

Rather than posting “+1” or “Agreed”, use he Like button. Rather than taking an existing topic in a radically different direction, use “Reply as a New Topic”.

The official language here is English and all communications should be in English please. That’s not because we don’t respect other languages, but because it’s the only language we all understand!

Be Agreeable, Even When You Disagree

You may wish to respond to something by disagreeing with it. That’s fine. But, remember to criticize ideas, not people. Please avoid:

  • Name-calling.
  • Ad hominem attacks.
  • Responding to a post’s tone instead of its actual content.
  • Knee-jerk contradiction.

Instead, provide reasoned counter-arguments that improve the conversation.

Your Participation Counts

The conversations we have here set the tone for everyone. Help us influence the future of this community by choosing to engage in discussions that make this forum an interesting place to be — and avoiding those that do not.

Discourse provides tools that enable the community to collectively identify the best (and worst) contributions: favorites, bookmarks, likes, flags, replies, edits, and so forth. Use these tools to improve your own experience, and everyone else’s, too.

Let’s try to leave our park better than we found it.

If You See a Problem, Flag It

Moderators have special authority; they are responsible for this forum. But so are you. With your help, moderators can be community facilitators, not just janitors or police.

When you see bad behavior, don’t reply. It encourages the bad behavior by acknowledging it, consumes your energy, and wastes everyone’s time. Just flag it. If enough flags accrue, action will be taken, either automatically or by moderator intervention.

In order to maintain our community, moderators reserve the right to remove any content and any user account for any reason at any time. Moderators do not preview new posts in any way; the moderators and site operators take no responsibility for any content posted by the community.

Be Ethical

Nothing sabotages a healthy conversation like rudeness and bad ethics:

  • Be civil. Don’t post anything that a reasonable person would consider offensive, abusive, or hate speech.
  • Keep it clean. Don’t post anything obscene or sexually explicit.
  • Respect each other. Don’t harass or grief anyone, impersonate people, or expose their private information.
  • Respect our forum. Don’t post spam or otherwise vandalize the forum.

These are not concrete terms with precise definitions — avoid even the appearance of any of these things. If you’re unsure, ask yourself how you would feel if your post was featured on the front page of the New York Times.

This is a public forum, and search engines index these discussions. Keep the language, links, and images safe for family and friends.

Keep It Tidy

Make the effort to put things in the right place, so that we can spend more time discussing and less cleaning up. So:

  • Don’t start a topic in the wrong category.
  • Don’t cross-post the same thing in multiple topics.
  • Don’t post no-content replies.
  • Don’t divert a topic by changing it midstream.
  • Don’t sign your posts — every post has your profile information attached to it.

Rather than posting “+1” or “Agreed”, use the Like button. Rather than taking an existing topic in a radically different direction, use Reply as a Linked Topic.

REMEMBER: Search before you post Nothing fills a forum up with rubbish faster than questions that have already been asked and answered many times over. Please search carefully before asking a question to see if it already exists

Private Message Etiquette

  1. Must avoid spamming, insulting or self-promotion while sending Private Message to fellow member.
  2. Don’t use the PM system to ask for help instead always create a new topic and share your problems so that it may add to our knowledge base and help fellow members seeking answers to the same query.

You Must NOT

Don’t Copy and Paste

Don’t post content from other sites and don’t make your post longer than it is necessary. If you want to discuss an article you read somewhere, post a link. It may also be copyright infringement if you post the whole lot.

Social bookmarks

Don’t ask for votes on social bookmarking sites, such as Digg, Reddit, StumbleUpon, or Facebook. We consider this self promotion and it’s not OK.

Piracy, Torrents, Adult Sites, and illegal Content

No sharing of Torrents or pirated material, please. It is not cool. Likewise, don’t post any work unless you have express permission from the owner or creator of the piece or work. You’ll be responsible for copyright infringement – not us. It is better if you link to it. It will save you some lawyers’ fees!

Additionally, links to adult sites are not allowed.

Affiliate links, Coupons, and Offers

Affiliate links, coupons, offers are not welcome. DO NOT:

  • Post coupon codes, discounts, offers
  • Ask for coupons, codes, discounts, invitations to services, etc.
  • Post affiliate links.

This is a serious offence that will often earn you an infraction or banning.

  1. Turn off all the e-mail notification options in your profile
  2. Stop posting

We do not delete accounts. If you’d like your username changed to something that won’t be associated with you, please contact @Mohammad .

Post Only Your Own Stuff

You may not post anything digital that belongs to someone else without permission. Always respect copyrights, mbt strictly believes in it. You may not post descriptions of, links to, or methods for stealing someone’s intellectual property (software, video, audio, images), or for breaking any other law.
